The KOLIOS dairy in the heart
of the Greek milk zone

The ultra-modern factory of KOLIOS in Limnotopos of Polykastro Kilkis, with covered production facilities of 52.000m2, is considered as one of the best equipped dairies in Europe.

Built on 180.000m2 of land, it is located in an idyllic farming area, surrounded by hills and mountains, 60 km from Thessaloniki, in the heart of the Northern Greek region of Makedonia, where 2/3 of the Greek milk is produced.

KOLIOS processes daily the fresh sheep’s, goat’s and cow’s milk, which is is collected from selected and controlled farms of the Greek regions of Makedonia and Thrace and further areas of Greece, by the company’s fleet of fully-automated and isolated tank-trucks.

All products of KOLIOS are produced using modern, fully automated production lines of the latest technology with continuous and strict quality inspections, under the supervision of the company’s specialised and experienced personnel. The Total Quality Management System implemented by KOLIOS is certified according to the strictest international standards.

Arrange a visit

The customers of the company have the opportunity to visit the production. The interesting tour, with scientific guidance, invites our clients to a journey of discovery of the art of modern cheese production and of the high quality principles of KOLIOS. The harmonic combination of traditional recipes with the great know-how of the company leads to delicious taste results. After the tour, the visitors take off the protective clothing, which includes hair coverings, coats and special shoes and are invited to the pleasant experience of tasting the products, in a more informal atmosphere.
